Happiness essay from a friend

I asked a girl I was friends with to explain to me how to be happy, she wrote me this amazing essay, enjoy.

Happiness is all around you, sometimes things that are put in our life, that are out of our control, they make it blurry to see that it’s actually there, and that ur cable of feeling it. There will always be something that is going to try and make you believe there’s no hope. Of happiness, enjoyment, etc. those things aren’t always some thing that we can avoid but that doesn’t mean we can’t control how they affect us. It will take some practice but practice makes perfect. When ever something terrible or uncomfortable, happens to me I always remember  that 1. Pain is not permanent- time will heal you, but it is YOUR decision if you let it or not. Because time can go by but the only way that it will help you is if you have decided before hand that you WANT to heal, that there IS hope.  2. If nothing went wrong in life, the good parts would never be as special.- shits gonna happen, and we are not always going to like it but it’s life, and if there wasn’t bad parts the goods parts wouldn’t be so god damn fun. 3- what do I have to worry, if this is all apart of gods plan?- idk if u believe in god, if not sorry I’m not trying to offend you or try to make u a believer of God but this is just one of my personal Ways I deal with pain. Anyways, if you do know god you’ve probably heard the stupid saying of “gods plan” or “everything has happens for a reason” and I’m not gonna lie everyone has gotten sick of it, because when something really shitty happens to us and someone says-“It’s gods plan” your just like well fuck gods plan bc it’s bringing me a whole lotta pain. But a lot of people don’t realize that there’s always always always, a lesson, a future lost soul that you can help one day bc of that pain u went through, a realization, That comes as an outcome of what you went through, and a lot of people don’t believe this because they haven’t lived long enough to see the reason why god put them through that or they’ve been so caught up in grief and sadness that they never got a chance to see the magic behind the disaster. ❤️
